While this is generally a quieter period for orienteering, Setanta Orienteers are continuing with the idea of extending the Leinster League season by holding an event in August. This year we will be at Fair Mountain (LL8), an area of open mountain at the top of the Wicklow Gap. Next Sunday 18th August, usual start times of 11am to 1pm. This is a great area for orienteering which should be suited to this time of year. The event is also being used as a JHI selection race so we are expecting a good turn out.
Registration will be at the larger car park at the top of the Wicklow Gap (grid reference O 075 002). We are trialling the use of SumUp card reader for electronic payment of entry fees. Bring your debit or credit card – but please also have some cash handy just in case of any unforeseen problems, this is our first use and it is very rural Wicklow!
Due to the nature of the terrain, there are no courses suitable for buggies.
