Setanta are holding a non league ‘Come and Try it’ event this Sunday 18th Feb in Djouce Woods, County Wicklow.
Parking will be in the main car park at grid ref O212 131 (note height restriction for vans which should park on the road).
The event will be signposted off the R755 leaving Kilmacanogue going to Roundwood.

Map is A4 with a scale of 1:10,000 and 5m contour interval.

The forest is heavily used by mountainbikers and there are numerous tracks. Only the most obvious are mapped.

Four courses are on offer as detailed below.
Long 5.9km 315m climb
Medium 4.1km 185m climb
Short 2.3km 125m climb
Wayfarer 2.3km 65m climb
The wayfarer course is buggy friendly.
The long course crosses the Dargle river. If there is a high river flow, then competitors will be instructed to cross at a bridge downstream of the course crossing.

Competitors are asked to be wary of mountainbikers and people on horses.

Starts are between 11:00 – 13:00 and courses close at 14:30.

Please report to the finish, even if you do not complete your course.

Cost of entry is as follows
Adult: €7 (€8 for non IOA club member)
Junior/Full time student/OAP/Concession: €5 (€6 for non IOA club member)
Family: €18 (€20 for non IOA club members)
SportIdent timing will be used. SportIdent cards can be hired for €2 at registration.
Hired SportIdent cards that are lost will be charged at €40.
Please respect other forest users and bring your rubbish home.
