Knocksink Woods, 6 Oct, Come and Try It

Setanta Orienteers are delighted to host a ‘Come and Try It’ Orienteering Event on Sunday 6th October at Knocksink Woods, Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow.

 

Start Times: 11:00 – 13:00

Location: Grid Ref. O 219 179   Knocksink Woods, Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow.

Directions: From Enniskerry village head North on the R117 for about 800metres. The entrance road is on the left. CAUTION! There may be runners along this 700m stretch of road to the car park.

Parking: the car park is not very big and carpooling is encouraged.

There is alternative parking available in Enniskerry village, at the Public Car Park …

Club Champs 2019 – Zoe Tyner wins the Brian Power Shield.

Congratulations to Zoe Tyner, the winner of this years Annual Club Championships and the Brian Power Shield.

Well done to Laurel O’Connor who claimed 2nd place and to Philip Brennan who came 3rd – full results are below along with some pictures.

Many thanks to Mick Mangan for planning and organising the event which included a friendly social gathering afterwards in The Blue Light, along with tasty refreshments and a short and sweet Club AGM.

Setanta Club Champs, Saturday 14th September 2019

Parking Update:  Club members will have access to parking within the park.  Just put eircode D18 K2N4 into google maps.  The Park’s Enniskerry Gate will be manned from 2.00 to 2.20pm, and there will be an O kite hanging outside.

Reminder to everyone that the club event of the year is coming up quickly – the Setanta Club Champs next Saturday, 14th September, Starts between 2.30pm and 3.00pm.
